NURTW Boss Kidnapped In Abia By Unknown Gunmen

Unknown gunmen have kidnapped Chief Sunny Nwakodo,

Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Worker,

Abia state chapter.

Chief Sunny was abducted on Thursday evening in

Umuodom Ohokobe, Ndume Ibeku, Umuahia North local

government area of the state while he was driving to his

Ndume country home at the outskirts of Umuahia , the state

capital.

According to Punch report, his abductors trailed him at the

close of work and then double-crossed him and took him

away.

The motive behind the abduction is yet unknown as the

abductors are yet to make contact with the family.

The Abia State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Geoffrey

Ogbonna who confirmed the incident said the whereabouts

of the NURTW boss is still unknown, while urging members

of the public with useful information that could lead to the

rescue of the victim to come forward with it.
