It would be recalled that Ezekwesili was involved in a recent
scandal surrounding the called off meeting of parents of
Chibok girls, abducted by Boko Haram members more than
3 months ago , with President Goodluck Jonathan.
The rescue campaign convener, who is also famous for
putting pressure on the Nigerian government for it to take
effective measures aimed at bringing back the girls, was
accused by the country leader of stopping the meeting.
Jonathan put responsibility on Ezekwesili for parents
cancelling the scheduled meeting. However it was later
revealed that the President's guests had received the
invitation letter later than expected and had been unaware
of the planned meeting. While the encounter was re-
scheduled for tomorrow, July 22, the ex-minister launched
another wave of criticism on Jonathan over him trying to
tarnish the #BringBackOurGirls campaign image .
