International Organisation Petitions Pope Over BokoHaram

International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law,

a civil society group has petitioned his holiness Pope

Francis, over the activities of the dreaded terrorist group,

Boko Haram.

The organisation in the petition issued in Onitsha, Anambra

State, by its Chairman, Emeka Umeagbalasi, which was

obtained by Vanguard, said it was imperative for the Pope

to intervene in the happenings in Nigeria because of the

killing of Christians and burning of churches in northern part

of Nigeria by Insurgents and Fulani Jihadists.

The organisation called for proactive lawful counter

measures to curtail the disturbing development.
